Credit Card Fraud

Guard that Card!

Twice in just over a year I’ve had fraudulent purchases made on two separate credit cards. In both cases this happened following small purchases made in airport terminals overseas. The first was in Singapore’s Changi, the most recent was in Dubai. Both times I didn’t have any local currency a card swipe was the simple solution. But it makes me wonder whether this was a smart idea. Could it be that my card details are being harvested and passed on to scammers, and that airport terminal workers are in on the game? Anyway, lesson learned. No more coffees or small buys in airport terminals unless I can pay for it with local moolah. If anyone else has had a similar experience, please share.

check out my previous article on the topic, where I had some interesting responses.
