Have you heard recent reservations about 28 degrees mastercard?
I have read your recommendations about 28 degrees mastercard for international travel but some recent reviews say that hidden costs and poor service are now a feature since Latitude Finance took over. Do you have a view on this ?- Would the bankwest zero platinum mastercard product be a better option now?

There are different rules that apply since the takeover and seems quite a few users of the 28 Degrees card have been caught out, often on niggling little details. For me its use is still justified by the fact that there are no foreign transaction fees, and I use it strictly to pay bills when I’m overseas, never to withdraw cash from ATMs. You need to be disciplined though, especially with regard to paying off your balance at the right time. The Bankwest card looks to do what the 28 Degrees Mastercard once did but seems there are plenty of card users on the Product Review site who are less than delighted:

I’m also using the ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures card, no foreign transaction fees and it earns me points plus a couple of perks such as a return domestic flight courtesy of Virgin with a minimum spend but it does come with an annual fee.
